Relations with Palestine
On 26 June 2015 the Holy See and the State of Palestine signed a Comprehensive Agreement in the Apostolic Palace. The Holy See Press Office said that it followed the Basic Agreement signed between the Holy See and the Palestine Liberation Organization on 15 February 2000. It was signed by Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Holy See's Secretary for Relations with States, and by the Palestinian foreign minister, Riad al-Malki.[2] Vatican Radio said that the agreement "deals with essential aspects of the life and activity of the Catholic Church in Palestine".[3]
