Saint Vincent and the Grenadines: relations with "Israel" since 1981, its UN votes, and Ghislaine Maxwell's visit to Mustique

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines established relations with "Israel" in 1981[1].

Israeli state and commercial ties

Diplomacy

The Israeli foreign ministry's 2011 list of missions records relations with Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as established in January 1981, with "Israel" represented by a non-resident ambassador based at the foreign ministry in Jerusalem.[1] Saint Vincent and the Grenadines had recognised the State of Palestine before May 2024, when the Bahamas became the last of the 14 independent members of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) to do so.[2]

Political interference

UN voting

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines voted in favour of the September 2025 General Assembly resolution endorsing the New York Declaration on a two-state solution.[3]

Jeffrey Epstein

Documents released by the US Department of Justice in the Jeffrey Epstein files include the following.

  • On 6 February 2002 a correspondent wrote to Ghislaine Maxwell, in French, that she had been delighted by Maxwell's visit to Mustique ("ravie de ta visite a Mustique") and regretted that they had not been able to find her "tresor de pirate" on "little st jeff". The message was forwarded from an account in the name "G. Max".[4]
