The CounterJihad Brussels Conference on October 18-19 2007, brought together some 70 organisations and individuals to inaugurate the CounterJihad Europa network.[1]

The event was notable for the attendance of Filip Dewinter, head of the Belgian far-right party, Vlaams Belang. According to Paul Belien, while "the VB did not organise the conference, it provided an important part of the logistics and the security of those attending."[2]
