The European Union is increasingly at the forefront of neoliberal reforms in Europe. Much of this is taken forward as a result of the lose relationship between corporate lobbyista and European civil servants. Corporate lobbyists now outnumber EC officials by a factor of about 5 to one, according to conservative estimates.
