United Talmudical Associates Ltd (also known as UTA; charity number 291834; company number 01883123) is an English charitable company limited by guarantee. It was incorporated on 5 February 1985 and registered with the Charity Commission on 18 March 1987. It is a large Satmar-linked grant maker: published activity is the advancement of Orthodox Jewish religion and other purposes recognised as charitable in English law, including a voucher system to encourage and facilitate charitable support. Reporting on the register is up to date. The Commission has opened an inquiry into the charity as part of the class investigation of charities connected to a company cashing cheques.[1][2]
It appears to be associated with Talmud Torah Yetev Lev (Hackney) (URN 100289), an independent Satmar boys’ school at 111–115 Cazenove Road, London N16. The school proprietor is Talmud Torah Education Limited. A school email address mail@satmar.co.uk was listed in 2022 and has been linked to UTA’s 2016 domain registration; UTA’s own register email is satmar04@btconnect.com. Trustee Shulom Cik has also been recorded as chair of the school proprietor in Ofsted material.[3][4]
