The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is the UK public broadcaster.
The BBC's reporting has gone through phases of censorship, spin and manipulation. The reason for this has to do with the composition of its governors, the government's pressure for it to tow the line, the direct connection of some of the BBC subsidiaries to UK Foreign policy and intelligence organs, and the way its journalists are selected.
