Lack of Scottish members
It is interesting that though much of the remaining UK aluminium industry is based in Scotland there are only two members of the APPG representing Scottish constituencies (Alan Beith and Brian Donohoe, and not those where the industry is based (a primary smelter and associated hydro-scheme operates in Lochaber, Fort William).
Secretariat
The Aluminium Federation Ltd a non-profit organisation, acts as the group's secretariat, helping with administrative tasks and event management. [24]
