Raising our profile in the bourgeois world
Macdonald co-founded Design Agenda with Kevin McCullagh in the mid 1990s. According to Macdonald this was part of a process of pursuing the ideas developed by the Revolutionary Communist Party. In an internal party document in around 1996 Macdonald notes that:
- There has been much discussion around the idea of pushing the profile of cdes [comrades] in the bourgeois world as a means of getting our ideas to a new audience. Here I want to look at the successes and failures I have had in pursuing this perspective in designland.[9]
