The Conservative Party Foundation is a fundraising enterprise managed by the Conservative Party which was established in 2005 and officially launched by Lady Thatcher and Sir John Major in May 2009 to 'support the Conservative Party financially in the long-term'.

It was set-up to receive legacies free of inheritance tax. While an integral part of the Conservative family, the Foundation is a separate company with an independent Board of Directors. [1]
