Cayman Finance was set up in 2003 "to represent Cayman’s financial services industry".

According to its website: "The importance of this role has been magnified tremendously by the events of the last 2 years and the international focus on offshore financial centers and their relation to global taxation issues. Cayman Finance has greatly increased its activity in the areas of public affairs and public relations, and will remain alert and responsive to new challenges that may present themselves."[1]
