Israeli partners

British Embassy Israel / UK-Israel Tech Hub context; Herzog Hospital; Jerusalem Foundation; Bezalel.[2][13]

Activity beyond the Green Line and support for the IDF

Findings are graded by confidence. "Partner" findings concern the Israeli recipient organisation, not proven use of UK funds.

Evidence of activity beyond the 1949 armistice line
Finding Confidence
Jerusalem Foundation projects can include areas beyond the Green Line (context from other profiles); specific project locations for these grants were not itemised.[2] low

Support for the IDF: No IDF funding is stated. Grants include healthcare and cultural partners in Israel.[2]

Support for the Israeli military

Grants. The grants table on this page records £25,000 in each of 2020 and 2021 to Beit Halochem UK, which funds centres for disabled veterans of the Israel Defense Forces. The accounts for 2025 name no grant to it.[2]

Prior scrutiny. In February 2024 David Miller, writing for PressTV (critical), named the foundation, run by David Dangoor, among the funders of Beit Halochem UK.[14] No Charity Commission inquiry or warning concerning the foundation was found.

Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Commission inquiry was found. CTech reported (4 November 2024) a Dangoor Health-Tech Academy with the UK-Israel Tech Hub at the British Embassy Israel; it has not been established from the accounts that the £690,000 Embassy grant funded that academy.[13][2]
  • A Hansard hit for "Exilarch" (1946) concerns the historical office of the Exilarch in Baghdad, not this foundation.

Other registers and records

Scotland and Northern Ireland

No entry was found on the Scottish Charity Register for this charity (full register download of 14 October 2026 searched by name).[15] No entry was found on the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland register (API name searches returned zero results).[16]

The Gazette

Searches of The Gazette notice feeds (all notices, insolvency and company) for the charity's name found no insolvency, winding-up or strike-off notice; results were limited to Companies House filing lists.[17]

Grants recorded by 360Giving

No grants received or made by this charity are recorded in 360Giving data.[18]

Sanctions screening

The names of current and archived trustees and Companies House officers were screened against the UK Sanctions List and the OFSI Consolidated List. No match on full name was found; only coincidental surname matches.[19]

Land and property

The register records that the charity owns and/or leases land or property.[1] No title registers were purchased.[20] Candidate titles and addresses (CCOD dataset and register/accounts data):[21]

  • Register records land ownership; no CCOD company-number match (unincorporated trust) – Register land flag (source: register)

Parliament

A search of Hansard for 'Exilarch's Foundation' returned 1 contribution in total; most are general references rather than discussion of the UK charity.[22]

Web archive

The UK Government Web Archive holds 4 archived Charity Commission register pages used in this profile (cited in the sections above). The 2021 archived full print showed the status "Charity reporting is up to date" and "Other regulators: No information available".[5]
