Conflict

Conflict was a quarterly academic journal focusing mainly on terrorism, published by the Institute for Conflict and Policy Studies, by Crane Russak in 1977. It merged in 1991 with Terrorism: An International Journal to form Studies in Conflict and Terrorism. Conflict, should not to be confused with Conflict Quarterly/The Journal of Conflict Studies a Canadian based journal associated with terrorologists David Charters and Maurice Tugwell.

About

Studies in Conflict and Terrorism 'aims to cast new light on the origins and implications of conflict in the 21st Century and to illuminate new approaches and solutions to countering the growth and escalation of contemporary sub-state violence.' The editors of the journal look to publish theoretical and empirical studies with the aim of contributing to a better understanding of the causes of terrorism and insurgency. The journal therefore addresses 'security challenges fuelled by religious and nationalist strife, moribund peace processes, disputes over natural resources, and transnational organized crime.'
