Conflict
Conflict was a quarterly academic journal that focused mainly on terrorism, published by the Institute for Conflict and Policy Studies, by Crane Russak in 1977.[1] The Institute was headed between 1977 and 1979 by former US Ambassador to Nicaragua, James Theberge.
The journal merged in 1991 with Terrorism: An International Journal to form Studies in Conflict and Terrorism.
Conflict, should not to be confused with Conflict Quarterly/The Journal of Conflict Studies a Canadian based journal associated with terrorologists David Charters and Maurice Tugwell.
The Journal was devoted to 'all warfare short of war'. The quarterly journal 'focused on informal wars, including guerilla warfare, insurgency, revolution, and terrorism. [2]

About
Conflict examined the roles of nongovernmental, intergovernmental and governmental organisations as political communicators. The journal was said to 'produce original research on propaganda and psychological warfare and on peacekeeping, peacemaking, and peacebuilding assignments of poltiical communicators.' [2] The journal therefore addressed 'security challenges fuelled by religious and nationalist strife, moribund peace processes, disputes over natural resources, and transnational organized crime.' [3]
