Gavin Poynter is Professor and Chair of the London East Research Institute at the University of East London.[1] He is associated with the anti-environmentalist and libertarian LM network, having written for Spiked, [2] being a trustee of Global Futures, one of the first fifty signatories to the Academics For Academic Freedom petition[3] and a speaker in a 2004 Institute of Ideas event.[4]
As of May 2010 the Global Futures page on the Charity Commission website gives the trustees as Philip Roy Mullan, Gavin Poynter, and Daniel Ben-Ami.[5]
