Kiryat Sanz Jerusalem Ltd was a charitable company registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (charity number 1112856) and at Companies House (company number 05083109). It carried the name of Kiryat Sanz, and it made grants in Israel.[1][2] The link to the Sanz-Klausenburg dynasty rests on that name.
Registration
According to Companies House, the company was incorporated on 24 March 2004 as a private company limited by guarantee without share capital. Its registered office was 15 Leadale Road, London N16 6BZ, and its business was classed as activities of religious organisations. Its last accounts were made up to 31 March 2019, and it was dissolved on 28 September 2021.[2]
The Charity Commission registered it on 30 January 2006 and removed it on 1 March 2022 as having ceased to exist. The register records it as not recognised by HMRC for gift aid.[1]
Objects and activities
Its objects were to advance religion according to the Orthodox Jewish faith and, in support of that aim, to relieve people in need, to act unpaid as trustee of other charitable trusts, to publish literature and learned works, to set up or support other charitable bodies, and to give grants and scholarships to suitably qualified students for research.[1]
The charity described its work as religious education and activities and the relief of poverty. It made grants to individuals and organisations and worked in Israel.[1]

Other appointments
- Moses David Motzen is also a director of Divrei Yatziv Limited (09968154, active, from 25 January 2016). He was a director of Prestige Planning Services Limited (dissolved) and, from 2011 to 2015, of M & B Trade Ltd.[4]
- Shmuel Shmelke Biderman was secretary and director of Mosdos Lelov Ltd (05311909, dissolved) from 13 December 2004. Between 2003 and 2007 he was a director or secretary of several property companies, including Leadale Estates Ltd, Lea Estates Ltd, Dovetail Estates Ltd, Rotherton Estates Ltd, Manorbroom Properties Ltd and Bayshield Estates Ltd, and of Tadpole Investments Limited.[5] Mosdos Lelov carries the name of the Lelov dynasty. This is a link through one former officer's other role and does not show that Kiryat Sanz Jerusalem was connected with Lelov.
- Companies House lists no other appointments for David Weiss, Aron Bard or Naftula Elimilech Lipschitz.[6][7][8]
Dynasty link
The link to Sanz-Klausenburg rests on the company's name. Kiryat Sanz is the name of the dynasty's neighbourhood in Netanya, and Rabinowicz records that its founder also set up a Sanz housing estate in Jerusalem in 1964.[9] Neither register states which institution in Israel the company supported.
