Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[13] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[14][15][16][17] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[18]
  • Grants labelled as administrative expenses. The statement of financial activities shows the whole of the charitable spending under "Administrative expenses", and note 4 gives "Grants payable: Administrative expenses" of £41,741 (2024: £47,562); a list of grants is said to be obtainable "by registered post" (PDF p.6, 9).[3]
  • Grant to a connected charity. Note 10 records grants of £4,000 (2024: £8,000) to Chasdei Dovid, "a charity with Trustees in common"; the register lists Akiva Kahan and Joey Joseph as trustees of Chasdei Dovid (1154626) (PDF p.11).[3][4]
