Controversies and regulatory action
- No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[11] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[12][13][14][15] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[16]
- Offshore related-party loan. Note 18 records an interest-free loan of £4,450,784 from Ambertown International Ltd, "a company registered in the British Virgin Islands" of which C Margulies is a director, and a £35,000 loan from David Margulies (PDF p.21).[2] Ambertown was not found on the UK sanctions lists.[17]
- Net liabilities. Creditors due after more than one year total £4,930,372, leaving net liabilities of £422,978; the investment properties (£1,655,000) are at trustee valuation without external valuation, and a bank loan is secured on two of them (PDF p.12, 19–20).[2]
- Creditor petition. In 2008 the charity and the Chasodim Fund petitioned to wind up Ross Hall Limited (t/a Winkworth), 269 Chiswick High Road, as creditors.[18] CCOD records the charity as proprietor of 257 and 259 Chiswick High Road (see Land and property).[19]
Other registers and records

The Gazette
Apart from Companies House filing lists, the only Gazette notice naming the charity is a winding-up petition against Ross Hall Limited (t/a Winkworth), 269 Chiswick High Road, presented on 29 April 2008 by "Newpier Charity Ltd" and the Chasodim Fund (1083443), "claiming to be Creditors of the Company".[18] No insolvency notice against the charity itself was found.[22]
Grants recorded by 360Giving
No grants received or made by this charity are recorded in 360Giving data.[23]
Sanctions screening
The charity's name, its current register trustees, trustees named on archived register pages, trustees and officers named in the accounts read for this profile and (for charitable companies) its Companies House officers were screened against the UK Sanctions List and the OFSI Consolidated List. No match was found. Viatcheslav Moshe Kantor (UK sanctions ID RUS1127) does not appear among this charity's trustees or officers.[17]
Land and property
The register records that the charity owns and/or leases land or property.[1] No title registers were purchased; the HM Land Registry interactive search blocked automated access.[24] Candidate titles and addresses (CCOD dataset and register/accounts data):[19]
