Richard Reeves is Special Adviser to Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg.[1]

Background

Reeves was appointed as Director of "third way" think-tank Demos in August 2008, leaving this role in June 2010 to become Nick Clegg's Special Adviser on Political Strategy.[2]

During the first year of the Labour Government, Reeves was principal policy adviser to the Minister for Welfare Reform Frank Field.[3]

He is co-founder of the consultancy Intelligence Agency and has worked as a research fellow at think-tank the Institute for Public Policy Research.[4]

Reeves is a former Economics Correspondent of The Guardian and Society Editor of The Observer; and the author of 'John Stuart Mill – Victorian Firebrand' and 'Happy Mondays – putting the pleasure back into work'. He has been editor at large for Management Today and essayist for the New Statesman.[5]
