Profiles of UK-registered companies with documented links to business activity in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories and the occupied Golan

UK-registered companies with documented links to business activity in the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories (and the occupied Golan) is a compilation of profiles of 26 UK-registered companies and UK establishments whose links to business activity in the occupied Palestinian territories (OPT) or the occupied Golan are documented in public sources. Companies are grouped in three tiers: UK-domiciled companies named directly in the UN OHCHR database (Tier A); UK-registered subsidiaries or branches of parents listed by OHCHR (Tier B); and UK companies or subsidiaries whose links come from other credible sources (Tier C).[1]

For Tier B, the listing applies to the parent group. Unless a profile says otherwise, no OPT activity by the UK entity itself is documented.

Compiled 14 October 2026 from public sources. Companies House (CH) data come from the public web register (find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk), which needs no key; the CH REST API (api.company-information.service.gov.uk) returned HTTP 401 without a key, so it needs a free API key. Figures from scanned accounts were read by OCR and should be checked against the linked PDFs before any formal use.

Scope, method and caveats

  • Tier A: UK-domiciled companies named directly in the UN OHCHR database (;[2] 2023 review;[3]). The 2025 update lists 158 companies, with the UK as one home state.[1]
  • Tier B: UK-registered subsidiaries or branches of parents listed by OHCHR. The listing applies to the parent group. Unless a profile says otherwise, no OPT activity by the UK entity itself is documented.
  • Tier C: UK companies or subsidiaries whose links come from other credible sources: Who Profits, AFSC Investigate, the Don't Buy Into Occupation IV report (Nov 2024),[4] and major news outlets.
  • OHCHR activity codes (para. 96 of A/HRC/22/63): (a) equipment or materials for building settlements or the wall; (b) surveillance or identification equipment; (c) demolition equipment; (d) security services; (e) services or utilities that sustain settlements, incl. transport; (f) banking or finance; (g) use of natural resources (water, land); (h) pollution or waste; (i) captivity of Palestinian markets; (j) reinvesting settler-owned enterprise benefits.
  • Directors: dates of birth are shown as month and year only, as CH shows them. Nationality is deliberately not recorded. † marks an appointment whose CH correspondence address is in Israel. It is an address fact only, shown because the brief asked for addresses with an Israel link.
  • Market caps are third-party estimates from companiesmarketcap.com (Oct 2026), given in USD.
  • "Unknown" or "not found" means the sources reviewed held no verifiable information. It does not mean the link is absent.
  • Links to the WZO, JNF, Jewish Agency or Keren Hayesod were searched for every company. Only one historical link was found (Bank Leumi's origin as the Anglo-Palestine Company, set up by the Zionist Organization's Jewish Colonial Trust).

  • Who Profits documents dozens of incidents of JCB machines used in demolitions of Palestinian homes, agricultural/commercial structures and water infrastructure in the West Bank and East Jerusalem (e.g. 2022 al-Jiftlik, 2023 Beit Dajan), and states JCB's Israeli importer Comasco sells to the Israeli Ministry of Defense and maintains JCB equipment at military bases; it says the JCB 1CX loader is used by the military Engineering Corps.[32]
  • Amnesty International (Nov 2021) reported Comasco is JCB's sole Israeli dealer and obtained Comasco–Israeli MoD after-sales contracts relating to JCB backhoe loaders used in demolitions.[33]

Controversies:

  • OECD complaint by Lawyers for Palestinian Human Rights (LPHR) to the UK National Contact Point; the NCP's 2021 final statement accepted Comasco is JCB's only Israeli dealer but said the link between specific demolition machines and Comasco could not be clearly established; JCB described an arm's-length dealer relationship.[34]

Links to Israeli government / WZO / JNF / JA / Keren Hayesod / security apparatus / IDF: Israeli Ministry of Defense via dealer Comasco (sales & maintenance) per Who Profits/Amnesty above. WZO/JNF/JA/Keren Hayesod links: none found (unknown).

Arms trade involvement: Not an arms manufacturer. Dual-use supply: machines reportedly sold to Israeli MoD via dealer (above). No UK export-licence data located for JCB specifically (unknown).

Documented OPT activity:

  • Heidelberg Materials AG and Hanson Israel Ltd are listed in the 2025 OHCHR update under (g).[3]
  • Who Profits: Hanson Israel (99.98%) owns the Nahal Raba quarry south of Qalqilya on ~515 dunam of land belonging to the villages of al-Zawiya and Rafat; Heidelberg acquired Hanson Israel via its 2007 acquisition of the British Hanson plc.[42]
  • Heidelberg's July 2025 letter to Who Profits: Nahal Raba quarry, asphalt and concrete plants closed since Nov 2023; expansion 'in principle' granted; no active OPT facilities.[43] Expansion approved 4 July 2025 per BHRRC/taz; Yesh Din petitioned against it.[44][45]
