Controversies and high profile clients
In 2012, a partner at the firm, Kevin Steele, was jailed for five and a half years after helping a fraudster apply for a multimillion pound loan from a EFG private bank using fake documents.[3]
In 2013, Charlotte Harris, a partner at Mishcon, represented Chris Huhne in his trial for perverting the course of justice.[4]
In 2014 the firm represented Leon Brittan when he was accused of raping a 19 year old girl.[5]
In 1996 the firm and Anthony Julius in particular was chosen by Princess Diana to represent her in her divorce from Prince Charles.[6]
