Funding in Israel

Israeli partners

Sole stated partner for grant remittances is the University of Haifa.[2]

Activity beyond the Green Line and support for the IDF

Findings are graded by confidence. "Partner" findings concern the Israeli recipient organisation, not proven use of UK funds.

Evidence of activity beyond the 1949 armistice line
Finding Confidence
Not established from the accounts (university-wide remittances; no settlement or West Bank project named).[2] Low

Support for the IDF: No IDF or military equipment funding is stated. Funds are transferred to the University of Haifa for educational purposes as described in the accounts.[2]

Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice was found.
  • Hansard. Searches for "Haifa University" return parliamentary references to the Israeli university and Middle East debates, not discussion of this UK charity as an entity.[22]
