The British Friends of Netiv Aryeh is a UK registered charity (charity no. 1001275). The charity supports the Netiv Aryeh yeshiva in occupied East Jerusalem.[1][2] The charity was formerly known as the London Friends of Yeshivat Hakotel.[2] Yeshivat Hakotel is also located in East Jerusalem.[3] [4]

The organisation became a registered charity on the 13th December 1990.[2]

Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh, Western Wall Plaza, One Hakotel Street, Old City of Jerusalem; its Overseas Program moved "opposite the Kotel HaMaaravi, in the heart of the Old City of Jerusalem" in 2003.[14] The charity's other name refers to Yeshivat HaKotel, where the Overseas Program was founded in 1974; The British Friends of Yeshivat Hakotel is a separate UK charity.[14][5]

Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh is at the Western Wall Plaza in the Old City of Jerusalem, in East Jerusalem, beyond the 1949 armistice line.[14] High

Support for the IDF: No IDF funding is stated; the charity pays scholarships.[13] Yeshivat Netiv Aryeh describes itself as aligned with the Religious Zionist movement and lists a "Hesder" track among its programmes (Hesder yeshivas combine Torah study with Israeli military service); the accounts do not say whether UK scholarships go to that track.[14]

  • Unsigned accounts and restated figures. In the filed copy the trustees' report, balance sheet and independent examiner's report are unsigned and undated; the 2024 comparatives are marked "RESTATED", giving 2024 income of £145,938 against £319,232 recorded on the register (PDF p.4, 7, 9).[13][5]
  • Tuition fees outside the accounts. Tuition fee monies of about £266,432 (2024: £194,806) collected for the yeshiva are excluded from income and expenditure; £2,455 was held for it at the year end (PDF p.4, 14).[13]
  • Trustee's firm paid. Glazers Chartered Accountants, of which trustee B J Allen is a partner, received fees of £528 (PDF p.14–15).[13]
