Donations

The Rubin Foundation Charitable Trust gave £55,250 to Civitas between 2007 and 2009 and during the same period also gave over half a million pounds to the UJIA.[2] The trust gave another donation of £1,000 to Civitas in 2013.[3]

The trust makes grants to organisations across England and Wales and internationally. It has funded:

  • Jewish and pro-Israel organisations (including UJIA, Jewish Care, Holocaust Educational Trust, and projects in Israel)
  • Antisemitism combat groups (Parliamentary Committee Against Antisemitism, Antisemitism Policy Trust, Community Security Trust)
  • Educational and cultural initiatives (Lancaster University Pentland Centre for Sustainability in Business, Wingate Institute in Israel)
  • General charitable causes

Annual grant expenditure typically ranges from £700,000 to over £1 million in recent years, funded primarily by family donations and investment income.[4]
