Remarks Lists 11 websites that are disclosed in FARA filings as distributed on behalf of the Israeli state

Iron Web is a directory of online resources run by Israel's Ministry of Diaspora Affairs and Combating Antisemitism. The ministry says it "has launched this platform as a dedicated public service" for "the fight against online Antisemitism and the delegitimization of Israel". It describes the site as "a centralized directory and a hub". It groups resources into reporting and automation tools, content "vaults", research sites, and civil "war rooms", and adds official state sources.[1]

Disclaimer and state-funded entries

The directory carries a disclaimer. It says the linked sites "are independently operated and are not owned, generated, or directly managed by the Ministry".[1] Yet 11 of the research sites it lists carry US Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) disclosures saying they are distributed on behalf of the Israeli state:

  • Nine sites run by Clock Tower X, the firm of Brad Parscale: allyvia.org, compassionpulse.org, cognitura.org, culturavia.org, econora.org, factsignal.org, innovascope.org, justorium.org and paxpoint.org. Clock Tower X files their pages with the US Department of Justice with the notice "This material is distributed by Clock Tower X LLC on behalf of the State of Israel".[2][3] The directory describes them in neutral terms, for example "A dedicated resource exploring the strategic and military alliance between the United States and Israel" (Allyvia).[1]
  • The Hanover Institute and IsraelFact, whose pages state that they are "distributed by Piro, Inc. on behalf of Havas Media Germany GmbH on behalf of the Israel Government Advertising Agency (LaPam)".[4][5][6] Iron Web describes the Hanover Institute as "A digital research platform providing analytical articles and strategic insights aimed at shaping the online discourse regarding Israel".[1]

The directory does not mention these funding links.[1]
