Israeli partners
Boyan Hasidic institutions in Israel. The recipient "Mifal Torah Vochesed – Chasidei Boyan Beitar Illit" corresponds by name to the Israeli amuta 580584159, whose registered name refers to the Boyan Hasidim of Beitar Illit but whose registered address is in Jerusalem.[2][9]
Activity beyond the Green Line and support for the IDF
Findings are graded by confidence. "Partner" findings concern the Israeli recipient organisation, not proven use of UK funds.
| Finding | Confidence |
|---|---|
| £30,000 to "Mifal Torah Vochesed – Chasidei Boyan Beitar Illit". Beitar Illit is listed by Peace Now as a settlement.[10] The Israeli amuta with that name is registered at a Jerusalem address, so where the money was used is not verified.[2][9] | Unverified – settlement in recipient's registered name only; registered address Jerusalem |
| "Yeshivat Rozin-Boyan Metivta Tiferet Israel-Modi'i…" (£28,500) is truncated in the accounts; whether it refers to Modi'in or Modi'in Illit (a West Bank settlement) cannot be determined.[2] | Unverified – name only, incomplete |
| "Talpiot – Mishkonois Torah Vehorah" (£234,280) has no location in the accounts.[2] | Unverified |
Support for the IDF: No IDF funding is stated.[2]
Controversies and regulatory action
- No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[11] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[12][13][14][15] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[16]
- Grant to a charity named in the cheque-cashing inquiry. 2024 grants include £20,000 to Beis Aharon Charitable Trust;[2] a charity of that name (1010420) was placed under the class inquiry in May 2025.[12] No charity number is given, so the match is by name; the release makes no finding about Friends of Boyan.
- Related party. The trust lent £3,400 to and donated £51,578 to a charity of which a trustee and close family are trustees (the grant list shows Bais Rizhin Trust £51,578).[2]
