Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[12] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[13][14][15][16] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[17]
  • Register out of date. The register still lists Henrich Feldman as chair and does not list Sara Friedman;[1] Companies House records Heinrich Feldman's resignation as director and secretary on 22 March 2022 and Sara Friedman's appointment on 1 April 2022 (see Companies House officers below).
  • Connected funding and unnamed group debts. The charity is funded by rents and by "donations from charities and companies directly or indirectly connected with the trustees"; it gave £30,000 to Beis Efraim, "a connected charity ... common directors/trustees"; debtors include £900,138 of "Amounts owed by group undertakings", which are not named. Donations of £184,500 are presented under "costs of raising donations" (PDF p.5, 9, 13).[2]
  • Late filing. The register records the annual return and accounts for the year to 31 March 2024 as due on 31 January 2025 and received on 10 February 2025 – 10 days late.[1]
