Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[5] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[6][7][8][9] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[10]
  • Donations from a connected charity. Note 14 says "Included in donations received are donations from a charity with a common trustee"; the charity and amount are not named. On the register, Gerald and Vivienne Lewin are also trustees of the MW (CL) Foundation (1134917) and the Zichron Mordechai and Devorah Weisz Foundation (1135746) (PDF p.12).[2][3]
  • Company wording in a trust. The report says that the trustees "who are also the directors" have no beneficial interest, although the charity is a trust, not a company (PDF p.3).[2]
