American Friends of Zvehil is a 501(c)(3) charity registered in Borough Park, Brooklyn, New York. "Zvehil" is a variant spelling of Zvhil, a Hasidic dynasty whose court is in Jerusalem.[1][2]

Dynasty tie

The charity bears the name of the Zvhil dynasty. The dynasty's rebbes have lived in Jerusalem since Shlomoh Goldman settled there in 1926, and the main Zvhil institutions association in Israel, Mosdot VeTalmud Torah Zvhil Beit Mordechai (580010577), lists Jerusalem and "Judea and Samaria" as its areas of activity.[2][3] Its filings do not name the institutions it supports.[1]

Registration

The Internal Revenue Service recognised the organisation as tax-exempt in December 2007. Its activity code (NTEE) is T30, and it is registered in the care of "S Hubert" at 4403 15th Avenue, Suite 438, Brooklyn, NY 11219.[1]
