Bill Olner was a Member of Parliament (MP) for the British Labour Party. He represented the constituency of Nuneaton[1]. He was re-elected to parliament in the 2005 General Election with a majority of 2280 votes.[2] Previously he had been leader of Nuneaton District Council which had merged with Bedworth to form Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council.[3]

Olner was (as of March 2010) a member of the committee on the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM).[4] He is also a strong supporter for the UK National Identity Cards Scheme as well as supporting the war in Iraq.[5]

Olner did not stand for re-election in the 2010 election and left Parliament on 12 April 2010.[6]
