Type Charitable trust (removed)
Founded 20 October 1982 (registered)
Dissolved 9 September 2010 (removed from the register)
Registration ID Former registered charity 285566

Sanz Institutions was a charitable trust on the register of the Charity Commission for England and Wales (charity number 285566). Its working name, Beth Hamedrash Sanz Klausenburg, names the Klausenburg line of the Sanz-Klausenburg dynasty directly. It was removed from the register in 2010 because it did not operate.[1]

Registration

The trust was registered on 20 October 1982 and was governed by a trust deed dated 10 June 1982. It was removed on 9 September 2010, with the reason given as "does not operate". The register records two working names: Beth Hamedrash Sanz Klausenburg, and a second entry spelt "Beth Hamfddash Sanz Klausendurv", which appears to be a misspelling of the first. The removed record shows no address and no trustees.[1]

Objects and activities

Its objects allowed the trustees to support any charities, charitable institutions or charitable purposes in any part of the world at their absolute discretion. The register classes its work as religious activities, providing services to people of a particular ethnic or racial origin throughout England and Wales. It carries no description of activities.[1]

Finances and reporting

The register shows income and spending of £0 for the years ending 31 March 2004, 31 March 2007 and 31 March 2008. The return for 2007 was received on 21 November 2008, 295 days late, and the return for 2008 on 2 December 2008. The returns for 2009 and 2010 were not submitted.[1]

Dynasty link

The working name Beth Hamedrash Sanz Klausenburg ("study house of Sanz-Klausenburg") is recorded on the register.[1] No other details of the trust's work or trustees are on the removed record.
