Trust deed, history and Israel-related grants (filed documents)

The trust was founded by a trust deed of 1961 as "the David Sieff Charitable Trust". The settlor was David Daniel Sieff, then of 45 Melcombe Regis Court, London W1. The trustees were the settlor, Marcus Joseph Sieff of 19 Melbury Road, London W14, and Michael David Sieff of 3 Albert Place, Kensington.[3] Minutes of a trustees' meeting held at 47 Baker Street, London W1, on 6 April 1970 record two decisions: to donate £2,000 over three years to the Weizmann Institute Foundation, and to change the name to The David and Jennifer Sieff Charitable Trust.[4] The 2014 accounts name the Hon. Sir David Daniel Sieff, Lady Jennifer Rait Sieff and Lord Wolfson of Sunningdale as trustees.[5]

Sources: the accounts for 2005, 2006 and 2014 (2004 and 2013 figures are comparatives).[6][7][5] Income was £57,548 (2005), £70,506 (2006) and £30,169 (2014). No grant to WIZO appears in the 2014 accounts or their 2013 comparatives. Accounts for the years to 5 April 2007–2013 and from 2015 onwards have not been obtained, so a WIZO grant in 2011–2015 is not established from the documents held.[5]
