Keith Oates (born 03 July 1942) is a former non-executive director of Diageo before retiring at the 2004 AGM. He was also Senior Advisor to Coutts Bank, Monaco, Deputy chair of Marks and Spencer PLC before 1999, a BBC Governor, and Non-Executive Director of BT PLC.

Revolving Door
- Before joining the FSA Oates was Executive Deputy Chairman of Marks and Spencer PLC and Chairman of all the Marks and Spencer Financial Services Companies. He was also a Non Executive Director of British Telecommunications. He subsequently joined Coutts & Co as director of its new Monaco office and became a non-executive director of Diageo plc.[4]
