Katie Perrior is director of communications to prime minister Theresa May, appointed in July 2016. [1]
She previously worked as May's spokesman in her bid for the Conservative Party leadership. [2] She is the first non-journalist to hold the role in recent history. [3]
Think tanker, lobbyist and PR
Perrior is the former media director of the Stockholm Network. Prior to this role she worked as a media consultant on the gameshow Who Wants to be a Millionaire? and worked for the Conservative Party Chairman and Conservative shadow home secretary during high profile campaigns.[4].
She is also a founder director of InHouse PR (2006-16), which helped London mayor Boris Johnson with his mayoral campaign.[5][6]
