Ramesh Chhabra was spokesman and special adviser to the UK chancellor of the exchequer George Osborne until 2015.[1]
He resigned following the May 2015 UK general election, after five years at the Treasury. [2]
In September 2015 he was appointed head of media relations at the London Stock Exchange. [3] [4]
Background
After graduating from the department of Politics and International Studies at Hull University in 2002,[5] Chhabra served for eight years as press aide to Conservative MP David Davis, latterly working for Dominic Grieve.[6]
Chhabra stood for the Conservatives in Newland for the 2002 Kingston Upon Hull Council Election. Of the seven candidates, he came last with 101 votes.[7]
