Katie Perrior is prime minister Theresa May's director of communications, appointed in July 2016 [1], and previously worked as May's spokesman in her summer bid for the Conservative Party leadership. [2]
Perrior is the former media director of the think tank the Stockholm Network [3] and the PR companies InHouse PR, InHouse Connex and Hersay Lyd. [4][5]
Prior to this role she worked as a media consultant on the game-show Who Wants to be a Millionaire?, and for the Conservative Party Chairman and Conservative shadow home secretary during high profile campaigns.
She is the first non-journalist to hold the role in recent history. [6]
