MyIsrael (working name of My Israel Limited) is a UK-registered charity and company that supports what it calls 'under-the-radar' and 'grassroots' causes in occupied Palestine. Founded in 2007, it connects UK donors with vetted small charities addressing poverty, mental health, special needs, homelessness, loneliness and education, as well as funding projects for soldiers, veterans and bereaved families of the IDF. None of the projects named in its accounts is in a West Bank settlement (see below).[1][2][3]
MyIsrael is also registered in Israel under the charity number: 58-0689230.[4] The Israeli branch was founded in 2019 and the address is: 6 Vitkin St, Tel Aviv-Jaffa zip-code - 6340506.[5]
History
Incorporated as a company on 24 September 2007 (company number 06379943) and registered as a charity with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (number 1121960) shortly thereafter, MyIsrael began operations in 2008. Since then it has raised over £17 million for more than 65 Israeli grassroots organisations.[1][2] It has grown into one of the larger UK-based grant-makers focused exclusively on Israeli causes.[3]
Activities
The charity’s core activity is the distribution of grants to Israeli organisations. Between 2016 and 2024 it disbursed millions of pounds in charitable expenditure, with annual grant totals rising from approximately £360,000 in 2016 to over £1.78 million in 2024.[3]
Grants support a broad spectrum of causes including food banks, children’s homes, disability services, lone-soldier programmes, medical aid and emergency relief, particularly in southern Israel communities near the Gaza border.[3]
MyIsrael funds high-impact small causes in Israel, with donors able to direct gifts to specific vetted projects. In recent years it has supported poverty relief (including 185,000 meals in one year), mental health initiatives, education and support for vulnerable groups.[1][6]

Donations
Spending from each restricted fund, as reported in the movements-in-funds and charitable-expenditure notes of MyIsrael's accounts.[14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21] Until March 2019 the financial year ended on 31 March; the company then changed its year end to 31 December, so the "31 Dec 2019" column covers the nine months from 1 April to 31 December 2019.[22] The accounts for that period filed at Companies House are filleted and do not break spending down by fund.[22]

Israeli partners
Named Israeli projects ("adopted charities") as listed in the restricted-funds notes; their Israeli registration numbers are not given.[34]
Activity beyond the Green Line and support for the IDF
Findings are graded by confidence. "Partner" findings concern the Israeli recipient organisation, not proven use of UK funds.
| Finding | Confidence |
|---|---|
| "Ariel Centre" (£3,000) is described in the accounts as "Healing and Strengthening Israel through sports", the same strapline used by The Ariel Center, a sports-therapy charity named in memory of Ariel Goldsmith. No connection with the West Bank settlement of Ariel was found.[34][35] | Low – name refers to a person |
| Other named projects are in Eilat, Sderot, Jerusalem, Safed, Beit Shean, Ashkelon and Kibbutz Alumim. No West Bank settlement is named.[34] | Low |
Support for the IDF: No funding of military equipment or operations is stated. Restricted funds connected to soldiers, as described in the accounts, are: the partners of fallen soldiers fund ("Girlfriends IDF", later "GIDF" and "PFIDF", "psychological and emotional support to the unmarried partners of fallen IDF soldiers"), £2,347 in the year to March 2015, £1,420 in 2016, £745 in 2017, £2,107 in 2023, £59,127 in 2024 and £68,263 in 2025 (£134,009 in all);[13][14][15][20][21][25] "IDFWO" ("Support for children and spouses of fallen soldiers"), £13,793 in the year to March 2015, £2,145 in 2016, £2,000 in 2023 and £9,750 in 2024 (£27,688);[13][14][20][21] Beit Kobi ("Support for lone soldiers in the Givati unit"), £44,036 between the years to March 2017 and December 2020;[15][16][17][18] Bshvil ("Support for female lone soldiers"), £7,423 in the years to March 2017 and 2019;[15][17] "Fun Days for Unit 630" ("Fun days for an army unit and their families"), £8,138 in the year to March 2015;[13] a "Soldier Welfare" fund, £3,361 in 2023 and £24,643 in 2024 (£28,004);[20][21] and "Ruca's Farm", a "Rehabilitative organic farm for the treatment of veterans with PTSD", £49,585 in 2025 (£27,085 income plus £22,500 transferred from the general MI Campaigns fund).[34][25] Together these come to £298,883, of which £274,605 falls in the ten years 2016–2025. A further £47,139 in the year to March 2015 went through a fund named "Emergency Appeal for IDF Soldiers", which the accounts describe as "Emergency support for people in South Israel during the Gaza war."[13]
Support for the Israeli military
Activities. The charity holds donor-designated funds, several of them for soldiers or veterans of the Israel Defense Forces: the partners of fallen soldiers fund (£134,009 from 2015 to 2025, including £68,263 in 2025), IDFWO (£27,688), the Givati lone-soldier fund Beit Kobi (£44,036), Bshvil (£7,423), "Fun Days for Unit 630" (£8,138), "Soldier Welfare" (£28,004) and "Ruca's Farm" (£49,585 in 2025); details and sources are given above. The accounts state no funding of military equipment or operations.[34]
Prior scrutiny. No regulatory case about MyIsrael itself was found. In September 2024 the Charity Commission opened a regulatory compliance case into a different charity, Achisomoch Aid Company Limited.[36][37] According to Middle East Eye, the case followed a complaint by the International Centre of Justice for Palestinians about Achisomoch's fundraising services to Ezrat Achim, an Israeli medical charity in Beit Shemesh whose fundraising pages, according to the complaint, sought drones, protective gear, gunlights and other equipment for Israeli soldiers.[37] MyIsrael's accounts record £22,509 spent from a restricted fund named "Ezrat Achim" between 2017 and 2023, described as "Dedicated to providing weekly food assistance", but they give no Israeli registration number, and several Israeli bodies share the name, so it is not confirmed that this was the Beit Shemesh charity.[17][20]
Controversies and regulatory action
- No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[38] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[39][40][41][42] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[43]
