Thammy Evans

Occupation Security sector governance specialist

Thammy Evans is a security sector governance specialist and Army Reserve officer who was deputy head of the International Security Sector Advisory Team of the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance and Reform (DCAF).[1] She is not on the list of Specialist Group Military Intelligence (SGMI) members published by Anonymous, but a 2015 SGMI presentation names her as a presenter.[2]

Career

The Atlantic Council, where she was a nonresident senior fellow, says she has had "a full career as a reservist in the UK armed forces", and that as a British Army officer she worked for the Ministry of Defence on areas including "countering disinformation". It also says she was political adviser to the senior military representative of NATO HQ Skopje.[1] The London Gazette records the award of the Queen's Volunteer Reserves Medal to "Colonel Thammy EVANS V.R., Army Reserve" in the 2021 Birthday Honours.[3]

Specialist Group Military Intelligence

A slide presentation titled "Alternative Stories in Strategic Understanding", from July 2015, lists its presenters as "Lt Col Thammy Evans", "Maj Kristian Gustafson" and "Capt Josh Arnold-Forster" of the Specialist Group Military Intelligence. The document is one of a set of unknown provenance that purport to be internal SGMI files; its authenticity has not been established.[2]

Integrity Initiative

An Integrity Initiative cross-country table of elections and institutions lists a "Thammy Evans" with a DCAF address.[4]
