JNF event for Rangers v Beitar Jerusalem, 1998

On 29 October 2021 the Jewish Telegraph published a Facebook post with photographs, stating: "October: Glasgow Rangers hosted Beitar Jerusalem in the UEFA Cup. To celebrate the tie, Stanley Lovatt arranged a JNF event which saw fans attend the match and enjoy a buffet. Pictures on this page are all taken at the event".[9] The only UEFA Cup tie between Rangers and Beitar Jerusalem was in the first round of the 1998–99 competition; the second leg was played at Ibrox, Rangers winning 4–2 (5–3 on aggregate).[10] Gersnet's results database dates the Ibrox match to Thursday 1 October 1998;[11] EuroCupsHistory gives 29 September 1998.[12] The Jewish National Fund is the organisation referred to as "JNF" in the post.
