Richard Mark Denton (born August 1972) is a British solicitor specialising in wills, trusts, estate planning and the administration of estates for high-net-worth clients.[1] He is currently Head of the Private Client team at BBS Law and serves as a trustee of several Jewish educational and welfare charities, including Noam Educational Trust and Aachisomoch Aid Company Limited.[2]
Education and career
Denton graduated from UMIST (University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology) with a degree in Management Sciences. He then completed the CPE (Common Professional Examination) and LPC (Legal Practice Course) at York College of Law.[1]
He began his legal career at the national firm Eversheds, before spending five years at Addleshaw Goddard. In August 2006 he joined Stock Fraser Denton from the West End and became an equity partner in November 2008. Following a successful merger he became managing partner and head of private clients at OGR Stock Denton. He joined BBS Law as Head of the Private Client team, where he advises on asset protection, nuptial agreements, tax-efficient estate planning, international and cross-border matters (including non-doms), and advice for elderly clients.[1]
Charity and Jewish communal activities
Denton has been actively involved in Jewish charitable work for many years. He was instrumental in the development of Noam Primary School to its new site and remains a trustee of Noam Educational Trust.[3]
He has been a trustee of Aachisomoch Aid Company Limited (charity 278387) since 2018 (appointed 6 September 2019 in formal records).[3][4]
