The Noam Primary School Limited (company number 03816464) was a private company limited by guarantee without share capital that operated Shalom Noam Primary School, an Orthodox Jewish voluntary aided primary school in Edgware, North West London.[1] It was incorporated on 29 July 1999 and provided the legal vehicle for the school's operations prior to the school becoming a state-funded voluntary aided school.
The company was dissolved on 27 August 2024. On 31 October 2024 its remaining funds were transferred to Noam Educational Trust (charity number 1151459), the successor charitable entity that now runs the school.[2]
History and relationship to the school and Noam Educational Trust
The Noam Primary School Limited was the original corporate vehicle established in 1999 to run Shalom Noam Primary School, which began with just five pupils and grew significantly over the following decades.[1]
When the school transitioned to voluntary aided status on 1 January 2019, the company continued to exist alongside the new charitable structure. It served as the predecessor legal entity responsible for the school's operations, property, and governance during its independent phase.
The company was dissolved in 2024 as part of the final administrative transition. Its assets and funds were transferred to the successor charity, Noam Educational Trust (company 08203599, charity 1151459), which now holds responsibility for the school.[2] This transfer completed the shift from the original limited company model to the current voluntary aided charitable framework.
