Lenny Shallcross is a former special adviser to the Labour Party. Shallcross currently works as public affairs and campaigning manager for the Alzheimer's Society.
Background
Shallcross worked in Government for a number of years before deciding to leave in 2010. His final job in Parliament was political adviser to the Labour Party in 2010.
Prior to this, Shallcross worked as a special adviser to the Department for Culture, Media and Sport working for Ben Bradshaw. [1]
Shallcross was a loyal servant to Bradshaw, having worked for him since 2000. His first role for Bradshaw saw him as head of office in the office of Ben Bradshaw from 2000 - 2007. [1] He then went on to become Bradshaw's special adviser when he was minister of state for the Department of Health from 2007 to 2009.
