Controversies and regulatory action
- No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[23] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[24][25][26][27] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[28]
- Internally inconsistent accounts. In the statement of financial activities the current-year total-funds column shows income of £520,500 against unrestricted income of £620,500, and expenditure lines of £615,000 and £1,500 are totalled as £613,500; net movement is shown as £4,000. The cash-flow statement shows the same opening cash (£63,509) for both years and closing cash of £85,109. The contents list a statement of financial position on page 6, but the 11-page filing contains none, and note 1 calls the charity "unincorporated" although it is a company (PDF p.7–9).[2]
- Examiner described as auditor. The independent examiner's report is signed by "Steven Kelly (Senior Statutory auditor)" for The Accountant LTD, Cheetham Hill, and dated 20 August 2026.[2]
- Late filing. The register records the FY2025 return as received on 26 August 2026 against a due date of 30 July 2026.[1]
