Jonathan Symonds CBE is on the board of directors at HSBC Holdings plc.
He is a former director of alcoholic beverages company Diageo plc.

Career
Symonds was a partner at KPMG from 1992 to 1997, he was then appointed a CFO of AstraZeneca until 2007. In 2007 he was a managing director of Goldman Sachs and from 2009 to 2013 he was CFO of Novartis AG.
He is a former non-executive director and chair of the audit committees of Diageo plc and QinetiQ plc.
He is currently chairman of Innocoll AG and a non-executive director of Genomics England Limited and of Proteus Digital Health Inc.[1]
HSBC
Symonds was appointed an independent non-executive director of HSBC Holdings plc in April 2014. He is currently chairman of HSBC Bank plc (HSBC's European subsidiary), chairman of the group audit committee and a member of the conduct & values committee.[1]
