Controversies and regulatory action
- No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[11] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[12][13][14][15] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[16]
- Grant to a trustee's charity. The trust gave £10,312 to JCommerce Charity Ltd (formerly Freebee Foundation Ltd), of which Norman Younger is a trustee (PDF p.14).[2]
- Inconsistent figures. The examiner's statement is headed "matter of concern identified" but reports none; 2024 grants are given as £54,039 in the grants list and £66,228 in note 7; fund notes give 2024 opening funds of £42,957 against £50,615 in the statement of financial activities; and the examiner's report, by Meir Guttentag FCCA, is undated (PDF p.5–6, 11–13).[2]
