Controversies and regulatory action
- No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[3] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[4][5][6][7] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[8]
- Document anomalies. The FY2026 accounts cover reads "HERE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE" and "ANNUAL REVIEW 2022/23" (PDF p.1). The text layer of the independent examiner's report page also contains wording for "Friends of Yeshiva Daas Sholem Shotz" for the year ended 31 December 2024 (PDF p.5), and the 14 pages are duplicated (PDF pp.15–28).[2] A charity of that name (1070789) entered the Commission's cheque-cashing class inquiry in September 2025.[5] The Commission concluded its investigation into that charity on 9 September 2026, finding that it had issued open cheques and making "a finding of misconduct and/or mismanagement"; it was "satisfied that each charity was undertaking charitable activities in line with their charitable purposes".[7] It had been removed from the register on 20 January 2026.[1] No connection beyond the leftover wording is established.
- Common examiner. The independent examiner is Brindley Goldstein Ltd of 103 High Street, Waltham Cross, the address also used as principal office by Vyoel Moshe Charitable Trust, which is under the same class inquiry.[2][5]
