Industry Disinformation and fake-profile detection

Cyabra is an Israeli company that sells software to detect fake profiles and coordinated campaigns on social media. Its founders include Yossef Daar and Ido Shraga, who, according to Globes, "were among the people who founded Psy-Group in 2013".[1] It began trading on Nasdaq in March 2026 after a merger with a special purpose acquisition company.[2]

Founders and military links

Cyabra's investor-relations site says the company was co-founded in July 2017 by chief executive Dan Brahmy, formerly a strategy consultant at Deloitte Digital; Yossef Daar, who "held several managerial positions in the Israeli Military Intelligence" (Aman); and Ido Shraga, its chief technology officer.[3]

Globes reported in 2018 that Daar and Shraga had been among the founders of Psy-Group, and that Daar and chief marketing officer Sendi Frangi "took part in setting up the technological system used by Psy-Group and continued to operate it up until a year ago, when they left to found Cyabra". It said the founders were "unwilling to talk about their military past", and that Frangi and Brahmy "also have experience in using digital identities in military and business intelligence".[1]

Security-sector links

According to Globes, Cyabra was one of seven companies selected for a new start-up accelerator run by the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) with Tel Aviv University, in which start-ups would receive $50,000 "to develop technologies likely to be useful to the ISA in the future". Globes added that the company's board included Ram Ben-Barak, then a Yesh Atid politician and a former director general of the Ministry of Intelligence and the Ministry of Strategic Affairs.[1]

Listing

On 27 March 2026 Cyabra completed its business combination with Trailblazer Merger Corporation I, and its shares were due to begin trading on Nasdaq under the ticker "CYAB". Brahmy said the company would give "governments and enterprises" a platform to "expose inauthentic actors".[2]
