Convergence Media is a US "campaign strategy, digital, public affairs and media firm" founded by the Republican strategists Mike Shields and Rob Simms.[1][2] The Intercept reported in 2026 that 14 of the 18 people on Brad Parscale's Clock Tower X team working on its Israeli government contract were Convergence Media staff.[3]
History
Campaigns & Elections reported in March 2022 that Shields and Simms launched the firm in early 2017, and that it was based in Alexandria, Virginia.[2]
Israel contract work
Clock Tower X registered under the US Foreign Agents Registration Act in 2025 as a subcontractor of Havas Media Germany working for the State of Israel. The Intercept reported that Shields, "a longtime Parscale ally", was "largely responsible for staffing the contract with the Israeli government". It said that during the first Trump administration "Shields and Parscale operated as a package deal". It also reported that Parscale "frequently convinced GOP campaigns – including that of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis – to hire Shields's Convergence Media". Shields's firm Portman Road Strategies was one of the largest recipients of money passed on under Parscale's Israel contract.[3] (Critical.)
