Controversies and regulatory action

  • No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[6] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[7][8][9][10] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[11]
  • Property-development loan. The charity's main asset is a £400,000 loan to Bridgepark Capital Ltd "for finance and development of a property", secured by a first legal charge at 11% a year for 12 months; the note says the loan was made "During the year", although the same £400,000 debtor appears at 31 December 2024 (PDF p.8, 14).[2]
  • Inconsistencies. The report says the charity is "reliant mainly on voluntary donations from companies connected with the trustees", but loan interest exceeded donations in 2025; it supports institutions "in Great Britain" although the objects are worldwide; the staff note gives a head count of nil and three full-time equivalents; Nissim Bitton has lent the charity £5,000 interest-free (PDF p.3–4, 13, 15).[2]
