Controversies and regulatory action
- No Charity Commission inquiry, Official Warning or Gazette insolvency notice naming this charity was found, and its register entry shows no regulatory alert;[9] it is not among the charities named in the Commission's cheque-cashing class-inquiry announcements (May, September and December 2025) or in the September 2026 statement of results.[10][11][12][13] The charities in the Commission's settlements class inquiry (opened August 2026) have not been named, so it is not known whether this charity is among them.[14]
- Undisclosed connected charity. Note 7 says "A grant of £10,000 was given to charity with a trustee in common" without naming it (PDF p.11).[2] The only £10,000 grant listed is to Before Trust, whose register trustees include a Lazar Lerner, though under a different register trustee ID from the Achiezer trustee.[2][1]
- Wrong year. The trustees' report presents the report "for the year ended 31 March 2021" and refers to "the company", although the charity is a trust with a June year end (PDF p.4).[2]
