Often referred to as a "nonprofit international organization" located in Washington, DC,[1] the Institute for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (ISTPV) has not had website to date and only exists on the web in the form of references made to it by individuals who list themselves as members of the institute in their bios and resumes. The organization was mentioned as far back as 1997 in the mainstream media with a specific reference to Oliver Revell who was quoted and identified in a CNN report as ISTPV's president.[2]
